Norrsundet is ideally located just a few
kilometres along
the coast going south towards Gavle which has long
historical ties with the sea. This old maritime city still
welcomes a steady flow of international vessels into its
harbour. Some charming little fishing villages are Bönan,
famous for its smoked Baltic herring; and Linön, an island
regularly visited by tourist boats.

Gävle is just a
60-minutes train journey from Arlanda airport or 80 minutes
from Stockholm. For those of you who are feeling energetic why not
experience a bike-trip - there is a network of 200 km of
bicycle trains. What are bicycle trains ? well come and find
out . Gävle also boasts two 18-hole golf courses and for
the ski-ing enthusiasts the Kungsberget alpine ski facility
just 45 minutes drive away. OR why not try a spot of salmon
fishing right in the middle of town.
Furuvik park is over 100 years old, but still keeps its
childlike wonder with acrobatic circus acts, artistic chimps
and dizzying carousels that keep the park bubbling with
life.
