Karlskoga is situated in the
province of Värmland but for administrative purposes
is part of Orebro county some 250 Kilometers from
both Gothenburg and Stockholm on the E18 motorway.
It enjoys a similar central location to Swedens
mountains and highly popular tourist areas on the
west coast. The main E18 forms part of the road
network running between Oslo and Stockholm.

"For
those that have made the greatest efforts for humanity" was
Alfred Nobel’s wish which formed the basis of the Nobel
Prize. Alfred Nobel was born, worked and lived in
Karlskoga.
Karlskoga is
beautifully situated next to Lake Möckeln where miles
and miles of beaches offer every water sport you care
to indulge, the bathing facilities are fantastic.
The water has always
been of great importance here. The roar of the rapids at
the floodgates, the hushed sound of the waves during
your boat trip, the long-distance skaters cutting across
the frozen waters, crisp snow under the skis – the list
is long. You will keep the joy of the water in your
memory. Peace and quiet, or perhaps you prefer a
little more action? with a pinch of competition and
relaxation – is just the right mix to find inspiration
for new challenges. In Karlskoga we play seriously!
You are most welcome – to
our beautiful part of Värmland
KARLSKOGA is
a great place for outdoor
activities. From racing cars
on the racetrack in
Karlskoga to fishing the
waters of lake Vänern. Many
people come to Värmland
just to enjoy nature at its
best. Hiking, camping and
cooking - all in the
beautiful forests.
